Mallefougasse

Saint-Jean Baptiste's Church which was listed in the inventory of Ancient Monuments in 1997 is a rare specimen of the first Romanesque art.

A bull delivered by Pope Géiase in 1118 registered this church as one of the priories of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-André de Villeneuve lès Avignon. Saint-Jean-Baptiste's Church houses very beautiful frescoes of the 17th century hidden under paintings of the 19th century.The castle is still lived in.

In Mallefougasse and its surroundings you can go hiking or biking to the Lure mountain. You will discover magnificent landscapes and nature lovers will be amazed by the Provençal fauna and flora.
